CAF CC Qualifiers: Kwara United trash AS Douanes

Kwara United kick start their CAF Confederation Cup campaign with a flawless win over Niger’s side AS Douanes de Niamey.

The NPFL side produced a perfect display at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, to win the first leg of the preliminary round 3-0.

Paul Samson handed the Harmony Boys a perfect start to the game when he opened the scoring with a perfect finish.

Kwara United were awarded a penalty in the 17th minute, and star forward Wasiu Jimoh makes no mistake as he increased the tally from the spot.

Jimoh then grabbed his brace and Kwara United’s third with a perfect finish five minutes before the half time break.

AS Douanes almost reduced the deficit in the second half but goalkeeper Adeyinka Adewale stood firm to deny them.

Kwara United held on to their three goals and will go into the second second in Niamey next week with a huge advantage.
