CAF suspends Lobi Stars midfielder John Lawrence for two games

Lobi Stars midfielder John Lawrence has been suspended for the two matches by CAF, the player was found guilty of fighting two Gor Mahia players in last month’s first leg preliminary CAF Champions League match in Kenya.

After several deliberations, CAF’s disciplinary council made the decision to ban the player for two games and fine Lobi Stars $15,000 for the player’s action and a pitch invasion.

 

The punishment which has already taken effect was the reason the player sit out of last week’s champions league 2-1 win over South African Mamelodi Sundowns and he set to miss the next game against Asec Mimosas of Cote d’Ivoire.

 

According to a release by CAF, which revealed ed all other disciplinary decisions, John Lawrence was found guilty of fighting two Gor Mahia players, Harun Shakava and Joash Onyango who were fined and suspended by CAF.
