Chelsea Manager frustrated over failure to capture Transfer targets

Antonio Conte has reportedly been left fuming with Chelsea for not signing his transfer target, Andrea Belotti.

According to Daily Star, Conte told Chelsea to sign Belotti and cannot understand why the Blues chose to go after 23 year old Romelu Lukaku.

The two strikers are valued at around the £85million mark and Conte is frustrated Roman Abramovich decided to back technical director Michael Emenalo’s choice over his own.

Conte’s mood will worsen if former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho lures Torino ace Belotti – who scored 26 goals in Serie A last season – to Old Trafford in the event of his move for Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata falling through.

It is also claimed that incoming signings £61m Juventus defender Alex Sandro and former Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero were not on Conte’s transfer target list.

The uncertainty about new signings appears to be the main reason Conte has yet to sign a new, extended £9.6m-a-year contract at the club, which has been on the table since before the end of last season.

The Belgian has bagged 87 goals in 166 appearances for Everton and struck 25 times in the league this campaign while Belotti who scored 28 goals across all competitions last season has never played outside of Italy.
