Chippa United has reportedly set a valuation of £1.3 million for their goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali as per sources within the South African football scene.

Nwabali whose exceptional performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations has garnered significant attention, is now a sought-after asset in the transfer market.

At 27 years old, the Shot-stopper has attracted interest from clubs in Europe and Saudi Arabia, with local rivals such as Kaizer Chiefs also expressing interest in securing his services.

In addition, Nwabali has been linked with potential moves to Queens Park Rangers in England, Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia, and Royal Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium.

However, the steep price tag seems to be a deterrent for potential suitors including Chiefs, despite their interest in bolstering their goalkeeping department.

Chippa United’s owner, Siviwe Mpengesi has openly discussed the possibility of a transfer if the club receives a suitable offer for Nwabali.​

Stanley Nwabali is under contract until 2026 and has has been impressive this season, keeping 10 clean sheets in 22 PSL appearances.
