Trabzonspor defensive midfielder and Super Eagles vice-captain Ogenyi Onazi has admitted his performance against England at the weekend was below par.
The former SS Lazio player was taken off due to tactical reasons after the first half for Isreal-based John Ogu as The Three Lions of England dominated the Eagles and led 2-0.
“Saturday’s outing was disappointing from me and I know it was not the best from me due to reasons I could not lay my hands on,” Onazi admits.
“A lot of criticisms and lot of blames yes I know, but it can only come once in a while.
“Criticisms can only make me better.
“I can’t run away from it but to learn and get better.” the 25-year-old told ScoreNigeria.
Nigerians will be expecting better from the Vice Captain in Tomorrow’s friendly clash with the Czech Republic as the preparation for the World Cup enters the last phase.
