Plateau United number one goalkeeper Dele Ajiboye has warned other title rivals that the Club’s ambition to regain the league title they won in 2017 is non-negotiable while hailing Coach Abdul Maikaba as one of the best on the continent.
Plateau United clinch their first ever Nigeria professional football league title back in 2017 under the tutelage of Kennedy Boboye who had since been replaced by Abdul Maikaba after the expiration of his contract in October 2018.
The club lost their crown to Lobi Stars of Makurdi after disappointing title defence last season, but with new coach and arguably the best attackers in the country, Ajiboye in an exclusive interview with brila.net’s Seyi Alao, believes his side are well equipped to wrestle back the title.
“I pray to Almighty Allah to give us what we want this season, we definitely want to the title back and Everything is perfect with Maikaba in charge, our style of play has changed and he’s one of the best coaches in Nigeria.”
The home-based Eagles safe hand also revealed to brila.net that he hopes to secure a move to Europe in 2019 with Spain his preferred destination.
“I want a move to Spain because I enjoyed my time with Pontevedra and definitely want to go back “.
