The Napoli forward, who played a pivotal role in Napoli’s first league title in 33 years, was expected to move last year.

Despite interest from prominent clubs like PSG, Arsenal, and Chelsea, Osimhen opted to extend his contract with Napoli until 2026.

However, a fallout with the club in December led to speculation about his future, with various clubs submitting offers for him. Chelsea is reportedly in the lead for his signature.

Chelsea is looking at a swap, offering Napoli £77m and two players for Victor Osimhen as Blues aim for blockbuster summer transfer.

However, Napoli doesn’t seem interested as they believe Chelsea doesn’t have the players they need.

Arsenal, on the other hand, are reportedly preparing a move for the 25-year-old Nigerian.

Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit, who was part of Arsenal’s first double-winning squad under Arsene Wenger in 1997/98, has suggested that Osimhen is the perfect 30-goal striker the club needs to outdo Manchester City.

“I think Arsenal need a 30-goal striker to finally win the Premier League, and that man could be Victor Osimhen, who has been amazing with Lille and then Napoli,” Petit said according to reports from the Mirror.
