Super Eagles forward Cyriel Dessers is elated to get his maiden international goal for Nigeria.
Dessers was on target in the Nigeria’s 2-1 defeat to Mexico at the AT & T Stadium in Dallas on Sunday.
Santiago Gimenez got the opening goal for Mexico after 12 minutes of play, before the Feyenoord’s striker headed home a teasing cross from man of the moment Calvin Bassey to draw Nigeria level.
However, William Troost-Ekong diverted a simple cross to his net and handed the Mexican important win.
Despite the defeat, Dessers said, he’s proud to score for Nigeria.

The Belgian born striker was only his second international cap for the three time African Cup of Nations winners, despite making his debut two years ago.
