Dogo promises Plateau Utd good fight

Nasarawa United head coach Kabir Dogo has said his side will accord due respect to top-flight and leaders Plateau United.

The Solid Miners are guests of the Tin City side in Wednesday’s top-flight matchday 26 clash at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos.

Both top-flights shared the spoils in the first fixture clash at the Lafia Township Stadium.

Dogo said the reverse fixture against the Jos landlords is certain to be a payback time for the top-flight leading side per Humphrey Njoku [Supersport].

“We are expecting an entertaining and interesting clash against Plateau United on Wednesday in Jos.

“The fact that the first fixture clash in Lafia ended goalless for both sides will further make the reverse tie keenly contested.

“For us the encounter is a payback time for Plateau United who came to Lafia to shock us with a barren draw.

“I think we know exactly what to do to get even or better than the hosts in Jos on Wednesday.

“We just hope and pray that we will get similar level playing officiating in Jos as it was the case in Lafia.

“Once that is guaranteed we are certain to break the backbone of Plateau United right there at their backyard.

“Of course, they are leaders by virtue of their position on the league log as nobody is yet winners or losers of the on-going top-flight.

“Everybody is struggling to find a strong footing on the league so we still believe and fancy our chances.

“We will duly respect Plateau United as well as the head coach, Kennedy Boboye for what they have achieved so far in the on-going league but as it’s in our practice we do not fear any side.

“We will certainly give them a good fight for their money and at the end of the football hostility we are hopeful to go to return back to Lafia with a heart-warming result.”

The Lafia landlords are eighth on the 20-team top-flight log on 37 points eight behind leaders and opponents Plateau United.
