Coach of Nigeria’s women national basketball team Otis Hugely has stated that the D’Tigress will not underrate any opponent ahead of the FIBA women Afrobasket which starts on the 10th to the 18th of August 2019 in Dakar, Senegal as the team get set for hostility.
Otis speaking on Nigeria’s group opponent Cameroon and Tunisia in a chat gathered by www.brila.net said it will be tough and good to see Nigeria and Cameroon rekindle rivalry once again after the 2015 edition of the tournament that saw Cameroon edge Nigeria in the semi final and while Tunisia might not be so strong, the team will take all opponents as serious as possible.
“I know Cameroon has a good history, they’re tough and some years ago precisely 2015, they beat Nigeria in the semis, so that’s probably been the last time that they play. Tunisia we can’t go to sleep. All these teams we have to take serious because anybody can be beaten and we’re taken them all the same. No matter who they are, we’re going to take them all hard.”
