Shooting Stars head coach, Edith Agoye is confident his team will seal their promotion to the NPFL on Friday.
The Oluyole Warriors played out a 1-1 draw with Remo Stars in the second game of the NNL playoff in Enugu on Wednesday.
Shooting Stars led for the most part of the game and were a few minutes away from picking the three points before Remo Stars hit back with two minutes left to play.
Speaking after the game, Agoye praised his players for their performance and he remain confident they will get the needed three points against Ekiti United.
“Both teams tried their best, they gritted their teeth to make sure they get something from the game,” Agoye added.
“We wanted an outright win so that we can confirm our promotion into the NPFL, unfortunately, Remo stars were able to rally back and get the equalizer. So far so good, it was a fair result for both sides”.
Shooting Stars have four points from two games and a win or draw in their last match against Ekiti United will send them back to the elite division.
