Eguma proud of Rivers United’s incredible home form

Rivers United Head Coach Stanley Eguma is proud of his side’s victory over Dakkada FC in Port Harcourt on Sunday.

Goals from New signing Sunday Adetunji and Paul Acquah were enough to steer the Pride of Rivers to victory against their visitors at the Adokiye Amiesimaka’s Stadium.

The victory means  Rivers United remains the only team in the NPFL with a 100 percent record at home this season.

They have won all 10 games at home this season, but they are 9 short of the record of Sunshine Stars’ 19 home win back in the 2010/2011 season.

In his reaction, Eguma paid tribute to the players for their commitment and amazing performance.

“I must give kudos to my players, they put up a very good effort to make this result , but I must admit that we can do more in next matches. ”

“Dakkada FC is also a good side. They gave us a difficult game but I think we were better and if we had converted all our chances, it would have been more than two goals.” He said to journalists in Port Harcourt.

Rivers United remains in 4th position on the log with 35 points from 20 matches, they sit just two points adrift Akwa United.
