Ekong happy to end his two year goal drought at club level

Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong is happy to score his first goal for his English club Watford FC.

 

Ekong scored Watford’s second goal in their 3 – 2 home win over visiting Coventry City at the Vicarage Road on Saturday.

 

The 27-year-old former Bursaspor of Turkey defender headed home James Garner’s cross in the 66th minutes of the game.

 

Andy Gray and Ismaila Sarr got the other goals for Hornets who secured a hard-fought win over the spirited visitors.

The goal ended Ekong’s two-year wait with a goal at Club level, and 17 months after scoring for the Super Eagles in 2019.
