Emueje Ogbiagbevha Outshines Oshoala in UEFA Women’s Champions league Clash

Nigerian attacker Emueje Ogbiagbevha was on target for her Belarusian Clubside Minsk in their UEFA Women’s Champions league clash with Barcelona’s on Wednesday.

 

The Belarusian giants Minsk hosted Barcelona Femeni in the return leg and needed miracle to advance to the quarter final of the tournament.

 

Asisat Oshoala’s Barcelona won the first meeting 5-0 last week , meaning Minsk must score at least six time without conceeding to remain in the competition.

 

The first half ended with a goal, but Emueje Ogbiagbevha put the home side ahead in the 60th minutes with a fine finish.

 

The lead only lasted for six minutes, as Alexia Putellas made it 1-1 for the Spanish visitors.

 

In the 80th minutes Minsk fell further behind in the tie again, after Mariona Caldentey scored for Barcelona once more.

 

With five minutes left on the clock,  Patricia Guijarro wrapped up the tie with a fine a finish to earn the Catalans an emphatic win away from home.

 

Meanwhile, Emueje Ogbiagbevha’s national team captain Asisat Oshoala watched the entire minutes of the game from bench, as Barcelona advance to the next stage with 8-1 agreegate win.
