Enyimba Match-winner says Ivorian meat ‘as Tough as We expected’

Enyimba FC scrapped to a 1-0 win against Williamsville AC on Wednesday to pick their second win climbed atop Group C in the CAF Confederation Cup, but the game was tough as expected according to match-winner Ibrahim Mustapha.

Mustapha raced against a defender, beating his marker by a stride before striking the ball low past the goalkeeper to score the game’s only goal against the debutante Ivorian team.

 

Enyimba switched grounds from Calabar to Port Harcourt during the World Cup break, but the Adokiye Amiesimaka playing turf suffered the eyes wanting for any manner of proper football.

The challenges nonetheless, Mustapha told Brila.net that the People’s Elephant will “not relent” to keep Nigeria’s only surviving representative in this season’s continental competitions to the very latter stages.
