Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo came on in the second half to help Stoke City to a win over Leeds United in the Carabao Cup game played on Tuesday.

The former Las Palmas man replaced Tyrese Campbell in the 70 minutes of the game for the Nathan Jones men who gave up two goals lead , before advancing after penalty shootout .

It was a sweet revenge for Etebo and his teammates against a side that thumped them 3-0 in the Championship at home on Satuday.

Stoke raced into a 2-0 lead, but Butland was at fault again to allow Leeds back into the game, as his weak clearance hit his own defender and was picked up by Eddie Nketiah, who then proceeded to nutmeg the goalkeeper and slot the ball home.

Helder Costa then equalised to send the game to penalties, Etebo scored third Stoke City’s, But it was Jack Butland who stepped up himself to boldly slot home Stoke’s fifth,  before Jack Harrison then hit the post for Leeds to earn Nathan Jones some respite at the Elland road.
