Former Nigeria international Etim Esin has attributed Nigeria’s exit at the ongoing FIFA U20 world cup to complacency after the team lost 1-0 to South Korea at extra time to miss out on the chance to progress to the semi finals despite dominating play and been seen as favorite by bookmakers.
Esin speaking in a chat with www.brila blamed the team’s approach and blamed overconfidence for the loss in a game they were widely expected to win after having beaten supposedly bigger opposition in the course of the competition.
