Europa League: How Sevilla denied Moses a place in the history book

Former Nigeria international Victor Moses was a second-half substitute for Inter Milan in their Europa League final clash with Sevilla on Friday.

 

Moses came on in the 78th minutes of the game for Danilo D’Ambrosio, but he was unable to prevent his team from losing the game 3 – 2 to the Spanish side in Cologne.

 

Inter went into front through Romelu Lukaku from the penalty spot, but Sevilla struck twice in succession, thanks to Luuk De Jong.

 

Diego Godin leveled the scores for Inter Milan leveled, but Diego Carlos strikes the winner with an overhead kick deflected into the net by Lukaku.

 

The game ended in disappointment for Moses who was hoping to the first Nigerian to win the tournament with two different clubs, haven won with Chelsea.
