Former Coach of the Super Eagles, Austin Eguavoen has advised the Technical adviser Gernot Rohr to be mindful of playing Skipper Mikel in an offensive role against Iceland.
Feeding questions via Brila FM from the Veteran Journalist and Chairman of Brila Media, Dr. Larry Izamoje, Eguavoen noted that Mikel could be very good in both roles but the former Chelsea man has lost a bit of pace to join in the Eagles attack.
The former Super Eagles Coach believes strongly that Mikel will thrive well in the defensive midfield role alongside Leicester City star Wilfried Ndidi.
The Super Eagles will take on Iceland later today in Volgograd in a must-win encounter.
