Nigeria International and Enyimba FC Goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa will not be dragged into a mental battle for the first choice spot in the Super Eagles ahead of the World Cup.
Ezenwa returned to action for the People’s Elephant on Wednesday in a rescheduled NPFL match against FC Ifeanyi Ubah and is tipped for a place in the Eagles World Cup squad.
The 2018 CHAN finalist told Brila.net that he’s not bothered about who becomes the Eagles number one goalkeeper, but is said he’ll be ready to make good use of any opportunity that comes his way.
Ezenwa explained that he’ll continue to prepare well to justify a call up, but concedes that the final decision rests with the Super Eagles Head Coach.
