Faced with a possible legislative sanction, the Ministry of Sports is going ahead with the preparation for the June 13 Presidential elections into the various sports federation.
Speaking with brila.net on Wednesday, Director of Federations and Elite Athletes Department (F.E.A.D), Hauwa Kulu-Akinyemi stated that prospective candidates are complying with the regulations.
She assured that the ministry is “good to go” with next month’s elections.
Kulu-Akinyemi stressed the readiness of the ministry despite the stay of execution by the lower national legislative chamber.
The Director stated that regional polls are ongoing without hitches.
