Fisayo Dele-Bashiru on Serie A radar

Italian Serie A club, Lecce has expressed interest in signing Nigeria international Fisayo Dele-Bashiru from Hatayspor.

According to reports from Sky Sports UK, Lecce has made an offer for the midfielder, who is also being pursued by Portuguese club Porto.

Previously linked with clubs like Napoli and Fenerbahce, Dele-Bashiru has caught the attention of Lecce, who are seeking midfield reinforcements.

The club aims to finalize the deal before the closure of the January transfer window.

Dele-Bashiru, a product of the Manchester City academy, has excelled at Hatayspor, with eight-goal contributions in his first eleven games in the Turkish Super Lig.

His impressive form earned him a call-up to the Nigeria national team for friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique in October last year.

The midfielder earned a call up to the Super Eagles and has made an appearance in the colors of Nigeria.

Had he made the cut in the final squad list to the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, he would have been the youngest player in the squad along with Raphael Onyedika.

With two and a half years remaining on his contract with Hatayspor, Dele-Bashiru’s potential move to Lecce could mark a significant step in his professional career.
