Former Captain of D’Tigers Olumide Oyedeji has expressed optimism ahead of the final game of the AfroBasket Championship between Tunisia and Nigeria.
D’Tigers are on the verge of a successfully defending the title they won in 2015, but Olumide has warned the team of complacency, predicting the hosts could even dominate the game.
‘It is a great achievement for Nigeria getting this far and we can’t lose our focus now.
‘However, Tunisia are more mobile and can play well. We’ll need to defend well and keep our focus.
The 2015 D’Tigers captain also praised the impact of current captain Ike Diogu.
He said, ‘His presence is a huge morale boost for the young team. They should go out there and play their hearts out.’
