Former board member of the NFF Shuaibu Gara Gombe has lamented the current state of some of the key players of the senior national team as the Super Eagles shape up for important AFCON 2019 and FIFA 2018 world cup qualifiers.
Gara Gombe in a chat with www.brila.net expresses serious concerns on where they play and how tough it has become for some of them to even get adequate playing time.
“Nigeria is the only country who has his top players playing in China, who knows China with football? The other reliable  players of the Super Eagles, where are they today? Talk of Musa, Mikel, Ighalo, Iheanachor, Echiejile and may be one or two. When last did you see Musa play for Leicester city, when last did you see Iheanachor play for Manchester city and then our football administrator cannot find out how to go about this.”
