Former Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia has argued the case of first choice goalkeeping spot for Ikechukwu Ezenwa ahead of the world cup.
Siasia insists Ezenwa played a key role in Nigeria’s qualification for the world cup and has more minutes for the Super Eagles under his belt.
Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr also named Daniel Akpeyi, Francis Uzoho and Dele Ajiboye to try out for the three goalkeeping spots available.
“Ezenwa did his best during the qualifiers and he helped us qualify.
“I think he should be the number one because he has played more games than anyone else. But the Coach has to do whatever he thinks is best for him,” Siasia told Brila.net.
