Josh Maja fired blank in Stoke City’s FA Cup defeat to Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park on Wednesday.
Stoke City boss Michael O’Neil made four changes from the team that lost to Bournemouth on Saturday and Maja was among the six players who retained their place in the starting eleven.
However, the former Sunderland and Fulham attacker failed to make a meaningful impact and was substituted for Jacob Brown in the 63rd minute.
Maja who signed for the Potters from French Ligue One side Girondis Bordeaux during January transfer window has now featured in six matches and scored two goals in return.
Cheikhou Kouyate gave the home side the lead in the 53rd minute, but Stoke responded just five minutes later as Josh Tymon tapped home Romaine Sawyers’ low cross.
Palace found a winner with eight minutes left when Riedewald who was quickest to react to Stoke goalkeeper Jack Bonham’s punch as he slotted home to the relief of the Selhurst Park crowd.
Stoke City has now lost their last four games in all competitions.
