How Bonke’s Malmo FF was outclassed by Juventus at the Eleda Stadion

Super Eagles midfielder Innocent Bonke was in action for his club Malmo FF in their Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League game against Juventus.

Bonke was given a starting by coach Jon Dahl Tomasson but was unable to save his team from going down 3-0 to the former Italian Champions at the Eleda Stadion.

Two goals from the captain of the day, Paulo Dybala in the 23rd and 44th minute put the Old Ladies in perfect control of the tie.

Spanish and former Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata scored the third in first-half added time to put the game beyond Bonke and his teammates.

Bonke was later substituted for a striker Sebastian Nanasi in the 75th minute as Malmo searched for a consolidation goal in vain.

Moise Keane thought he had made it four for Juventus in the closing stages of the second half, but his goal was chalked off for off-side.

Malmo FF is occupying the bottom of the table with 0 points and 3 goals deficit. They followed Zenit Saint Petersburg who also lost 1-0 to holders Chelsea at Stanford Bridge.
