Katsina United played out a 1-1 draw with Enyimba of Aba in one of the NPFL matchday two fixtures at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina.
The ‘Changi Boys’ started the game the better side and won a penalty as early as the third minute after Tasiu Lawal was brought down inside the box by Ifeanyi Anaemena.
Lawal scored the resulting penalty to give the home team an early advantage.
However, Katsina United started defending in numbers despite the Peoples Elephants’ efforts to quickly get an equalizer.
The Aba Warriors, however, equalized two minutes before the end of the first half through Martin Usule beautiful solo effort.
The Usman Biffo-led side tried to get the winner in the second half with Destiny Ashadi controlling the midfield but the Peoples Elephants resisted everything the Changi Boys threw at them and deny the home team their first win of the campaign in front of their own fans.
