Coming off a spectacular season with KAS Eupen in the Jupiler League, Striker Henry Onyekuru has expressed hope that he can replicate that form for Nigeria.
In his debut season in the top flight, the 19-year-old forward scored 25 goals in all competitions, earning him rave reviews.
Onyekuru’s form has also seen him come under the radar of several English Premier League sides, including the likes of Arsenal and Everton.
He took part in his first training session with the national team after his invitation, oddly after the omission of Kayode Olanrewaju, who was excused for club engagements.
Onyekuru took part in his first training session with the team on Wednesday but the striker did not fail to impress.
