Mauro Icardi has unveiled his extravagant new tattoo, which will certainly be a talking point in the dressing room.
The Inter Milan striker, who has regularly been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months, already had his arms inked but has now covered his entire chest with a picture of a lion’s face and two cubs.
Above and below the lion are the names of his two daughters, Francesca and Isabella, who Icardi shares with wife Wanda Nara, the ex-wife of former Sampdoria team-mate Maxi Lopez.
The couple married in 2014, soon after Nara‘s divorce from Lopez was confirmed, with the animosity between the two footballers coming to a head on the pitch earlier that year when Lopez refused to shake Icardi’s hand.
Icardi also cares for his wife and Lopez‘s three sons – Valentino, Canstantino and Benedicto – at their home in Milan with their names featuring on his arms as well as a picture of Nara.
The Argentine forward revealed his new body art took nearly half a year to complete, but hinted there could be yet more to come.
‘After three sessions in five months he is grabbing @arturholykoi,’ he wrote on Instagram.
‘As always my friend, thank you for this work of art that we started with my two loves, Chiquitos, Francesca and Isabella.
‘See you soon to continue.’
