“In-Form” Ighalo hopes to stay injury free ahead of World Cup

In-Form Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo has stated that he will do his possible best to stay injury free ahead of the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Ighalo spoke exclusively today on Brila FM stressing the need for himself and other Super Eagles players to stay injury free in order to do the Country proud at the FIFA Mundial.

“I will keep doing what I’m doing to prepare for the World Cup, I won’t stay at home to prepare,” says Ighalo who scored a brace in China over the weekend.

“I have to go out there and play games for my club and be match fit ahead of time and the World Cup.

Ighalo’s brace over the weekend took his tally to seven goals this season in the CSL.

Meanwhile, Alex Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi have joined the growing list of injured Super Eagles players, which also include Leon Balogun and Tyrone Ebuehi.

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger confirmed in a post-match conference yesterday that Iwobi suffered a hamstring problem in their 2-1 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
