Former Real Madrid and Spain International, Iker Casillas has been discharged from hospital after he suffered a minor heart attack during a training session.
Meanwhile, Former Spain and Real Madrid coach Vicente del Bosque lauded goalkeeper Iker Casillas as one of Spain’s footballing heroes and wished him a speedy recovery after he underwent heart surgery.
The Spaniard has thanked the medical team for all of their hard work as well as the thousands of fans who have sent him their best wishes since it happened. “I am very grateful because I have been very lucky,” Casillas said.
“Time is the most important thing right now and I am not bothered if it takes me a few weeks or a few months to recover.”Nobody knows what the future holds, but the most important thing is that I am alive and kicking.”
