Flying Eagles’ defender, Solomon Moses says he’s still in shock the team is facing elimination from the ongoing 2020 WAFU Zone B championship.
The highly-rated defender was involved in the Flying Eagles’ defeat to Black Satellites of Ghana on Wednesday, a result which has left the team, needing a miracle to qualify for the semi final.
It would be recalled that the Ladan Bosso boys also played a 1 – 1 draw with Cote D’Ivoire in their opening match of the tournament.
The teenager spoke to the media on Friday, he stated that the team is disappointed with their current situation.
“I’m still in shock with the final results of the match; it was indeed not the result we wanted.
“We worked really hard for a victory but the final result wasn’t in our favor; we even scored but the goals were disallowed.
“We were prepared for the ultimate result, which was a victory, but that’s football for you.” He said.
The Flying Eagles will be hoping luck smile on them as a win with two goals marking for Ghana over Cote D’Ivoire will save them elimination.
