Trabzonspor picked up their first maximum points in the Super Lig on Sunday, courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Yeni Malatyaspor at the Medical Park Stadium.
Nigerian duo Anthony Nwakaeme and Mikel Obi both got minutes; the former the entire duration and the latter a second half substitute.
Goals in either half by Omur Abdulkadir (45′) and Joao Pereira (78′) gave the hosts a comfortable lead.
The visitors found the back of the net in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a mere consolation as Trabzonspor walked away with their first league win this season.

According to ratings provided by whoscored.com, Nwakaeme and Mikel put in a good shift. They were scored 7.0 and 6.1 respectively, as they continue to impress for the Black Sea Storm.
On Thursday, they return to Europa League action and will hope to complete a double over AEK Athens, following a 3-1 away win in the first-leg Play-offs match.
