Injury Blow for Super Falcons’ World Cup Opponent

Super Falcons Women’s World Cup group opponents, Canada, will be without Jade Rose for the opening game between the sides.

Rose suffered a serious injury and has been ruled out of the game against Nigeria, as well as the entire tournament.

The defender’s withdrawal was confirmed by the Canada Women’s National Soccer Team medics on Sunday.

“Jade Rose has been forced to withdraw from camp and World Cup selection due to injury,” the report confirmed.

Rose’s absence is a blow to Canada as she’s one of the best defenders in the squad.

The Canadians will kick start their campaign against Nigeria, with the Olympic Champions considered favourites for the win.
