Isaac Success was in superb form for Udinese in their Italian Serie A against Empoli on Monday.
The striker provided an assist, but it wasn’t enough to earn Udinese a point against the rampaging hosts.
The former Watford’s star set up the opening goal of the game scored by Gerard Deulofeu in the 22nd minute.
Success controlled a long ball, then held off two defenders, before exchanging passes with the Spanish star who finished past the goalkeeper.
Success almost created another goal five minutes later. The Striker’s low cross was parried by the goalkeeper to the path of Beto, but he failed to convert the easy chance.
Udinese went into the break in front, but they collapsed after the resumption as the hosts scored three time to take the game away.
Petar Stojanovic equalised for Empoli four minutes into the second half, after latching onto a pass from Ricci.
Success almost restored Udinese’s lead almost immediately, but his effort was cleared off the line by the defender — with the goalkeeper beaten.
It became 2-1 to Empoli 10 minutes later as Nedim Bajrami found the back of the net from close range and Andrea Pinamonti sealed the three points with final goal in the 78th minute.
The defeat means Udinese are winless in their last five games (suffering two defeats and three draws).
As for Success, he has now assisted two goals and scored once in seven league appearance for Udinese who themselves remain 14th position.
