An Italy-based Nigerian footballer named King Paul Akpan Udoh has reportedly emerged as the first footballer to be diagnosed with the deadly corona-virus.
The entire world has been thrown into serious panic since the outbreak of the deadly disease which emanated from China in which hundreds are currently battling for survival.
Until he was said to have been confirmed a carrier of the disease, King Paul Akpan was playing in the Italian third division side with Pianese.
The 22-year-old started his career with Reggiana before moving to Juventus in 2011 where he was loaned back for a year.
Failing to impress, he was returned to Juve, and then loaned to Lega Pro side Pontedera later the same year.
He had a loan stint with Pontedera, Fernana, Fano and Viareggio before joining Pianese on July 14, 2019.
