Itoya hopeful NPFL can follow suit after league Football returns fully with NWFL

Enugu Rangers forward Kelvin Itoya has stated that he is hopeful the Nigeria Professional Football League follow suits as quickly as possible following the commencement of league Football in Nigeria with the start of the 2020/21 Nigeria Women Premier league on Wednesday.

Itoya speaking in a chat with brila.net said the commencement of the women’s league brings a little bit of hope and trust that the men’s league can maybe equally starts for the new date of 18th December 2020 after series of postponements with the lastest being failure to kick start on the 6th of December 2020.
“We were told the league is going to start on the 18th December so we look forward to it. I will want the league to start before anything as regards trust but we hope that it will start. The men’s league should have started before the women’s league because that’s how it has been before now.”
