Retired Super Eagles forward Peter Osaze Odemwingie has revealed to brila.net the major reason behind his decision to leave Premier League side Stoke City for Madura United in the Indonesian League.
Odemwingie earned a whopping sum of $500,000 (about 200 million Naira) during his eight months stay at the Indonesian club Madura United.
The player told brila.net that Madura United was the only offer on the table after his long injury layoff at Stoke City and he had to move because there were bills to pay.
Osaze announced his retirement from professional football at the ages of 38 last month after earning 68 caps playing for the national team super eagles,
The former West Brom forward has represented Nigeria at the World Cup, even played at the AFCON and Beijing Olympics in 2008.
