Alex Iwobi believes Frank Lampard deserves more backing from Everton faithfuls, if they are to turn their season around.
Lampard has been widely criticized by the media and fans, following Everton’s poor run this season.
The Toffees are currently rooted in 17th spot in the premier league, with three wins from 15 round of matches.
“The club is very ambitious and we want to achieve something,” Iwobi told Liverpool Echo ahead of restart.
“I’ll say stick by him (Lampard) because, not just me, the players do appreciate what he is doing and what he is doing for the club.
“He is a hard-working man, who is putting his job first – maybe before his family! He does work very hard and is an understanding man, so stick by him,” He said.
Iwobi is one of the best players under the former Chelsea boss this season. The Nigerian has featured prominently in the heart of midfield, creating goals, and winning tackles.
Lampard will be banking on him to continue his impressive season when the PL season action returns later this month, with Wolverhampton Wanderers the next opponent.
