KRC Genk Director of Football, Dimitri De Conde didn’t confirm the club’s interest in striker Paul Onuachu.

De Conde however stated that Onuachu is a player they follow, but would explore other options too due to the potential cost of the transfer.

The Forward left Genk for Southampton for Southampton in a deal worth £18m, but the lanky forward struggled to make impact.​

“Paul is a player we follow, but not the only one,” De Condé told Het Nieuwsblad. “That is not easy, but it is a very expensive file.”

“So we as a club have to see that we are making the right choice,” said De Condé, who does not want to make hasty decisions and is also considering other options for the attack line.​”

Onuachu played a total of 134 matches for Genk and managed to score 85 goals. The striker also provided 10 assists.
