Kenneth Omeruo made his much anticipated La Liga debut on Saturday and the Nigerian was outstanding as usual, but it all came at the expense of a more favored Unai Bustinza.
Bustinza was withdrawn inside the opening 29 minutes of the match after he sustained what appeared as a thigh problem and so came the big break for Omeruo.
The Nigerian, who is on loan from Chelsea, grabbed the opportunity with both hands as he helped CD Leganes preserve a 1-0 lead over Rayo Vallecano.
Leganes picked up their second win in 8 league matches, but remain in the red zone.
On Sunday, Omeruo shared his joy; and apparently in full consciousness of how it came at the expense of another player.
The Nigerian posted a picture of the exact moment he made his entry on instagram with the caption:
God’s Plan is always the Best.. Laliga Debut 💪🏾 #cdleganes
And we couldn’t agree more!
