After the event, Die Mannschaft captain Julian Draxler was voted the best player of the tournament; winning the golden ball.
Also, 21-year-old forward, Timo Werner was awarded the golden boot as top scorer after his goalscoring exploits turned up three goals in the campaign.
Chile’s captain and Goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo won the golden glove. Bravo was pivotal to La Roja’s progress to the final despite missing the first group game.
The 35-year-old saved three penalties in the semi finals against Portugal to help Juan Antonio Pizzi’s men reach the final.
Menawhile, Joachim Löw’s team was honored with the Fair Play award of the tournament.
In other stats from the 2017 Confederations Cups, Portugal’s goalkeeper, Rui Patricio made the most saves in the competition.
The 29-year-old made 14 saves, conceding only 3 goals in five matches to help Portugal finish with the Bronze.
Champions Germany scored the most goals in Russia, netting a total of 12 goals in five matches.
Six of those came from open play while they managed to convert only one from a set piece.
On the hand, Portugal were the best attacking side, making a total of 83 attempts.
A breakdown of the figures shows Jorge Santos’s men scored 9 goals, had 18 blocked.
Cristiano Ronaldo and his compatriots proved quite dangerous in attack, but we not very clinical.
The team had 23 of it’s 82 attempts saved and 33 of the total were off-target.
