Hellas Verona aims racial slur at Victor Osimhen, and Kalidou Kolibaly

Hellas Verona could be in trouble with the Italian Football Authority, after their fans racially abused Victor Osimhen and Kalidou Kolibaly.

Napoli and Hellas Verona clashed in a fierce derby game on Sunday and it was Osimhen who decided the game.

The Nigerian scored twice to lead his team to 2-1 win on the enemies territory.

According to Football Italia, Hellas Verona fans made a racial slur against Osimhen and his teammates Kolibaly.

The club could be fine for the action of the fans and potentially the closure of the stands after repeated offensive chants .

Meanwhile, Hellas Verona condemned the action of their fans and insisted they have no tolerance for hate speech.

“Hellas Verona FC are a spokesman, today as always, for a message of peace and condemn any action, gesture or comment that can generate – in any form – incitement towards hate, violence and discrimination.”

Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti also called for possible expulsion of these fans from the stadium.

“We’ve got to stop this, all those who try to communicate with hate will not have a future, because they will be crushed by their own hate,” said Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti in his press conference.

“These people need to be removed from the stadium.”

The bitter rivalry between these clubs goes back decades and therehave been numerous famous ugly incidents in their matches.
