Minister and NFF Bigwigs to meet Super Eagles in London

The Honourable Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare and the Nigeria Football Federation Chiefs will meet with the Super Eagles players, ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Ghana.

The President of Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju revealed the Minister will lead the delegation to meet the players in the United Kingdom in the coming days.

The reason behind the scheduled meeting is, to remind the players of the importance of qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Recalled, The Super Eagles failed to meet expectations in the 2021 African Cup Nations, and the NFF want to leave no stone unturned before the qualifiers.

“We will be leading a delegation to the United Kingdom soon, led by the Honourable Minister of Youth & Sports Development, Sunday Dare, to hold meetings with our players.”

“I’m so glad the Honourable Minister is leading this delegation himself, highlighting how important the World Cup is to us & our team. The support is invaluable.” He said.

Nigeria and Ghana will meet in the playoff next month — with the first leg slated for Cape Coast, while the return leg will hold in Abuja. The overall winner will advance to the World Cup.
