Nigeria’s latest football prodigy Gift Emmanuel Orban is attracting interest from Premier League teams, according to reports.
According to TeamTalk, Leicester City and Leeds United are among those teams to have a registered interest in the player who has been turning heads lately with his performances for Gent.
The 20 year old Nigerian took the football world by storm in the last seven days, with back to back hat-trick for Gent against Zulte Waregem and Istanbul Basaksheir.
He also wrote his name in history book with one of the fastest hat-trick gainst Turkish Super Lig side, Istanbul Basaksehir in the UEFA Europa Conference League last Thursday.
“Gift Orban has said that his dream is to eventually play in the Premier League,” says Team Talk Respected journalist Ben Jacobs.
“He’s clinical, he’s intelligent, he’s got good awareness. Leicester are one to watch. Leeds could be in the equation as well. They’re on the lookout for a young striker and somebody to alleviate the burden on Patrick Bamford.”
Orban signed for Gent in the January window from Norwegian side Stabaek. And he has become the face of the league in short time, scoring 12 goals in nine games for Gent.
