Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has insisted he has never thought about leaving Leicester City as the club prepares to offer the midfielder a new contract.
The 21-year-old has established himself as one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League since his £15million move to the King Power Stadium from Genk last January and won more tackles than anyone in the EPL last season.
His 15 tackles were the most of any player in the group stages while Ndidi is still joint-second in the overall list, despite Nigeria being knocked out after just three games.
The Super Eagles star was linked with Liverpool in January with reports this summer of interest from Arsenal, but the midfielder has said he is happy at the King Power Stadium.
“A transfer has never been on my mind,” Ndidi has been quoted as saying during the World Cup. “I feel very good at Leicester.”
