Leicester City receives Positive Update on Iheanacho’s Injury

Leicester City manager, Dean Smith has said Kelechi Iheanacho is responding to treatment and could return to action before the end of the season.

Iheanacho suffered a groin injury during Leicester City’s draw at Leeds United last month.

The forward pulled a groin in the build up to Leicester City’s equalizer at Elland Road and has been out since then.

Smith initially feared the Nigerian international season could be over due to the injury, but revealed there is a more positive update on the injury.

“Kel has responded to treatment. He’s not back for the weekend, but we may get him back for the last
two games of the season.

“Other than that, everyone came through the [Everton] game okay,” the Foxes Boss told a press conference ahead Leicester City’s Premier League game against Fulham.

Iheanacho has five goals and four assists in 26 league appearances this season.

Meanwhile his compatriot Wilfred Ndidi is expected to be in action against Fulham, Monday, as they continue battle against relegation.
