Nigeria’s 2019 Women Premier Basketball League runners up MFM BC got their FIBA Africa Women’s Clubs Champions Cup campaign off to a winning start.
MFM defeated Energie BC 96-50 to pick their first ever win and on their debut in the competition.
The Aderemi Adewunmi-tutored side were inspired by Marvellous Chizi Abel, who filled the stats sheet with a double double.
She scored 25 points (10/12 FG), 11 rebounds and 3 assists.
