Midfielder Akinkunmi Amoo is looking to his National team debut with the Super Eagles this weekend.
Amoo was named in the senior national team squad that will face the Black Stars of Ghana for a place at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
It was the first time the former Golden Eaglet stars would be called up by Super Eagles manager.
The 19-year-old who scored for FC Copehagen in his first start on Sunday – FC Nordsjælland, said he’s already looking forward to the big day.
“It’s really big for me to be with the national team for the first time. It’s going to be really exciting for me.” Amoo told the Club’s website.
On the game against Ghana, the former Hammarby star said :
“It’s some incredibly important matches for the national team that are fighting to get to the World Cup finals, and I’m happy to be selected, “concludes Amoo.
